Our Current Project
Hunter Valley Resort in Conjunction with Core Project Group
Our team is currently on site at the Hunter Valley Resort development, delivering pre-construction termite protection alongside Core Project Group. We install Kordon Termite Management System during the early stages of construction, before and after the concrete slab goes down thus sealing off access to the ground below. Treating the site at multiple stages properly protects every vulnerable area. We carry out all work in accordance with Australian Standard AS 3660, which sets the requirements for termite protection in new construction.
Site progress at the Hunter Valley Resort project, with reinforcement and Kordon Termite Management System underway ahead of the pour.
Pipe Penetration Collars
We fit pipe penetration collars around the pipes and plumbing fixtures that pass through the slab. These penetration points create natural gaps in an otherwise sealed structure. Each collar closes off the space termites could otherwise use to enter the building. Installing these collars before the pour keeps the Kordon Termite Management System continuous once construction finishes.
Cold Joint Protection
A cold joint forms where one section of concrete sets before we pour the next section against it, creating a seam between the two. This seam can give termites a hidden entry point. We treat every cold joint as part of the Kordon Termite Management System to keep protection continuous across the entire slab. Managing cold joints correctly is a key part of meeting AS 3660 requirements.
Kordon Termite Management System
Kordon is a termite management system that combines a physical blanket with termite repellency. We lay it around the building footprint before the slab is poured. The physical barrier works alongside a treated layer that deters termites on contact. Our Bayer-trained and approved installers fit the system, and Bayer backs it with a Kordon Warranty for long-term, verifiable protection.

We document every stage of the installation as work progresses. This gives Core Project Group and the client clear visibility of the termite protection measures we build into the site from the ground up.
